Mt. Whitney?

lol, the trail going north sold it for me.

This is a nice place Jeffrey! Hiked here some years ago. Since I just had a spot, I will let you continue playing the game and let others try.

Wishing You the Best!

ill let you take a guess at this point since nobody has gone for it yet, unless someone chimes in before you do ;)

Well, you posted that on Friday and not a single guess. Am very much surprised!

Now personally I knew immediately about where it was - in Glacier NP. Okay will guess, it is the south half of Glacier Nat'l Park, that is the area of the park south of the Going To The Sun Highway that splits the park into North and South Areas. It is the area along the Continental Divide from what the map calls Mt. Logan on the left side to the right where the trail crosses the mountain peaks is Triple Divide Pass with Triple Divide Peak right close by. The creek areas north of the Divide are the headwaters of the drainages of Red Eagle Creek and Hudson Bay Creek. The creeks flowing south of the divide, flow into (out of your map) into Nyack Creek. The whole Gunsight Lake and Pass area in Glacier NP would be to the left of your map.

I hiked in this area years ago and remember fondly of my time being there at Triple Divide Pass and Peak area. It has been a few years now since have not been up into this neck of the woods and need to return and see it all again. Such a nice nice place.

Wishing You the Best!

It is truly a great place! I hope to get into that area some day because it is known as "the Norris Traverse" maybe I can convince Joey in 10 years;)

Have at it!

Can we have one that's not in Utah? I mean I dig it but you know for variety's sake.

I use Utah ones sometimes because they seem to get the game moving faster and get more people attempting a guess.
To be fair, though, I don't think I've seen more than one or two from over in your neck of the woods, @SKLund.

Now here is the next one. A nice wild spot way away from the nearest roads and not in Utah. Wishing Everyone the Best!

Now since nobody has ventured a guess on this one, then will give another clue. The main meadows and area in the photo above by Google Earth is located in a National Park. And it is in a drainage that is probably very rarely visited for no trails are in this particular drainage in this modern day era that I know of. And one can tell by the photo above, it was taken in the late summer time period.

Wishing Everyone the Best!

Outdoor_Fool, You are Correct! Good For You! Now you are up next .... Go For It!

Some maps showed a trail up this drainage many years ago, but any map now days shows none even though some are close by in the Upper Lamar itself. It seems with how many people visiting Yellowstone NP, not that many at all will get way back here into this back wild place here tucked back into the still wild places of the Greater Yellowstone Country. It is one of those places where my mind wanders back to from time to time. Have been on some of the peaks overlooking this drainage thru the years and looked down on this still wild place. Need to get back here one of these years again.

Wishing Everyone the Best!

First hint: NW Wyoming
The Polecat and Spirea creek drainages coming off the Pitchstone Plateau. Just northwest of the South entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
Lots of hot springs out there.

That area was pretty close to the fire this year, but I don't think the fire ever crossed the park boundary. I may be wrong.
