Guess the spot: Maps Edition

You guys ever hear of Sourdough Hill at Dawson? Everyone thought the sourdoughs staking claims there were nuts, cause everyone was doing placer mining and these new guys were digging into the hill itself. But the big hill was the site of a paleo-river which had huge placer deposits, and they all went home rich.

A old and obscure mining area in AK. Cool name for the local village, and everyone mispronounces it.

Sort of similar to what @Rockskipper said about the Klondike, originally placer mined but now, being developed as a hard rock mine. Not that that will help at all, just a note of interest.
