Saw -19F on the temp readout in my Jeep when I got up Sat. morning. BRRRRRR!!!

Awesome starts! Three more weeks of physical therapy and I'll hopefully be getting in my first bag nights of 2013. :)

I'm finally on the board for 2013--I took my kids and spent a couple of nights at two different spots on Sand Mountain in the St. George area.

I swear I'm gonna get on the board soon... but I just had an idea. Wouldn't it be kinda cool if we all tried to take photos of where we put our bag on each of these nights? Maybe you post them all, maybe one per trip, whatever. But everything is cooler with photos! :)
 
Well, I'm back a night earlier than originally planned. I had a great night last night but my attempt at hiking to the top of the reef was too much, too soon for my knee. To be expected I suppose since I haven't really done anything on it since surgery 3 months ago. Going uphill was easy but downhill was a huge challenge. After 2 miles I was pretty shaky and when I'd stop that leg would tremble uncontrollably. Figured it was best if I cut it short.

But with that said, my first official entry on the board and a better version of the photo of my first bag night location that I posted from camp last night.

I got another night in this month. Camped near Lone Warrior near Head of Sinbad in the central Swell, but the snow really limited my options for hiking, so it was a pretty lackluster trip.

Looks like it was a good weekend - glad to see it! I got in a couple nights out in the Newfies this weekend too.

Nice weekend on Cedar Mesa....temperature was great and I only saw 2 other people all weekend. Would have been a good weekend to backpack in Grand Gulch.

Another night for me too, but what was even better is that I could actually hike a bit this time around! :)

Had a great night on the tarp just to the right of this photo of our camp. First mosquito bite of the year right between the eyes as the sun rose this morning.

Got a couple more nights in this week at spots with some amazing views. Tuesday night I landed at Bullfrog Creek Overlook--this was the view 100' from my tent:
