    Bullion band

Just below the dark red cap rock of the Delamar Mountains high plateaus in the SW lies a band of golden-orange that gives a remarkable aesthetic to these deep twisting canyons. And I was fortunate enough to have good lighting for maximum visual pleasure. Love cloudy, windy days ! I got settled...

    Delamar Ghost town

On the west side of the Delamar Mountains, not far north and east of Delamar dry lake, lies the remains of an old mining town. Lots of partial walls still standing above the rubble of their higher reaches that have fallen over time. Its a pretty cool place that requires just a couple miles or...

    Meadow Valley Mountains

The past 2 years have been rough. Time, money and health all took a lurch and my usual lifestyle of playing outside with every free moment took a nose dive. Time to start making up for missing out on my preternatural obsession. So after more than 2 years of not having felt a pack on my back...

    Cave Canyon, Grand Canyon west

Rampart, Muay, and an unnamed are all at the mouth. Think its ~5-6mi one way from Pearce Ferry. Not sure if any are still accessible, but doubt it. Too bad, Would have been nice to access Rampart, if access ever was legal, not sure. Maybe there's a cave in canyon somewhere ? Didn't see one in...

    Cave Canyon, Grand Canyon west

I came in off a smaller tributary branch that had some mild brush and easily navigated, terraced falls. Until a couple 100M or so before its confluence with the main canyon - a maybe 30M drop ? I bypassed dcr and found a crack to drop down to steep slopes leading to the canyon floor. After that...

    Cave Canyon, Grand Canyon west

Having been interested in Cave Canyon for some time, it found its way to the top of the que and off I went. I found myself, quite by accident, at a very nice campsite atop Grand Wash Cliffs overlooking Meadview just beneath Rampart bm. Sometimes not paying the closest of attention to choice of...

    Stumblin' thru the web

Came across this recently during a descent into the rabbit hole. Thought it was pretty neat and well done. Some interesting tr's, more than just waxing poetic, geologic, historic, botanical info scattered thru some. And a nice app to download for course tracking.

    Meadow Valley Mountains

Spent a weekend camped off the Kane Springs Rd, just enjoying the big views in every direction. Looped an easy ridge taking my time, plenty of long breaks low and high. Just grooving on being outdoors. Evening views from camp. Home. Sheep Range in shadow. NE. Meadow Valley Mountains right...

Lake Mead Natl Recreation Area North Shore scramble fun. Nov. 28-30, 2019

Northshore Rd is a great corridor, end to end, to start hikes from. Some very cool narrow drainage's between the roadside rest and East Longwell ridge un895. Muddys are in my top 3 favorite places ever.

    Fishhawk Creek, Washakie Wilderness Area

I've heard there is avalanche debris, impassible and unroundable, preventing access to Glacier Basin/pass. Anyone able to confirm or deny ? So long as these stupid discs go back inside their proper home, I'll be tromping around up there this summer. Thanks for any info.
