The kung fu grip on my old pair was starting to slip so I grabbed me another pair for next year's adventures

Some of the best, toughest trail running/hiking shoes ever. Loved them but they started giving me major blisters on long days, so I had to switch to something with more space for my toes. Still, such great shoes!

They definitely run on the small side. I had to go up a size and get the wide fit.

I finally broke down and bought a Peak Design aluminum tripod, as it was 20% off on REI. It's not as light as I'd hoped. 3.5 pounds weighs more than it used to.

La Sportiva's are the only hiking /trail running shoes and boots I can wear.
I have weird and very narrow feet, but they fit like a glove.
I love all the pairs I own and rarely get blisters. I wish they would last a bit longer. I usually run through at least one pair every hiking season.

Hypothetically I just got 2 pairs on clearance too (sometimes REI will tell me the item is no longer available during order processing). I love these shoes, but the frictiony tread wears down faster than some comparable ones. I have some old Salewa trail runners with sticky, but durable soles.

I also got a pair of Black Diamond Distance Carbon FLZ poles on sale. My older ones won't extend long enough to reasonably sub as tent poles.

Recently made my first backpacking gear purchases of the year.

2pr of UA Boxerjocks(have a pair that's over a decade old and still going strong):

And a Kuiu Peloton 97 hoody:

My men's size L is 155g/5.47oz on my scale.
Pretty light for something noticeably warmer than my Capilene 2 zipneck that weighs .85oz more w/o a hood!
