This thread needs some love. Here's a couple from my latest trip.

High flying Sage on our hike up Bowns Canyon:

And our old, somewhat senile Nikita doing what she loves best now: scanning the water for fish. She walked the shoreline all day, every day just poking around having a great time. This was also her first time riding in a kayak and she loved it.

My lab mix Yukon on a recent trip to southern Utah. He's obsessed with sticks and found the mother load at this camp north of Monticello.

Thanks Nick, she's a photogenic little beast. Is your Sage part BC or ACD? She looks like an awesome hiking dog!!

Here's another Mira gem, we were trying to show the scale of the pictographs at Black Dragon, she decided to photobomb from the rocks below me just as my boyfriend snapped a photo.

Yep. According to the DNA screen (posted farther back in this thread), Sage is 1/4 border collie, 1/4 collie, 1/4 aussie and 1/4 who the hell knows. She is a fine hiking dog. Looks like you've got a couple too!

I thought I remembered you mentioning a DNA test on her. Mine are 10 and 9 yrs. and though they aren't as spry as they were on our first Utah trip in 2008, they are still great outdoor buddies!

Wow, I'm gonna love this thread....

Here is Goose, she's 1.5 years old, she's a Braque Du Bourbonnais. Fantastic dog, crazy energy. I hike 5 miles, she hikes the same 5 miles, but about 5 times...up the trail, down the trail, up the trail......

Here's Boulder and Torrey on the way up to Bourbon Lake on Friday. It was Boulder's first backpacking trip and first night in a tent.
Great! Both on alert too. I like the way you harness'ed em up to pull you and your sled :)

Luna's first hike. Bark Camp Creek.

Luna on the left when she was dropped off at an adoption event 2.5 years ago...mange and very sick, maybe a week left to live, 4-6 months old. Foster fail...kept her, the pic on the right was Luna a few months later.

Luna! Same name as my rescued dog. Good thing we live far apart - might make hiking together a little difficult. Good on ya! for saving her life, Brandon.

BTW I love your quote, too. Let's drive our Luna's out to the wilderness and then step in. :twothumbs:
