I had to stop and get a picture of tonight's sunset on my way home. Just on my cell phone.

Tonight was pretty good. I had that feeling at lunch so I grabbed my gear and left work early. Tried a new spot on Utah Lake since there are tons of people out shooting now. I didn't see another soul!

It was cold, damp, and cloudy until almost evening. It was a surprise to look outside and see nice colors at sunset.

May have gotten a little carried away processing this one, but I rarely do something this abstract and liked how the colors turned out.

Kona Coast Sunset
I went to my favorite spot almost every second day while I was there

Last evening. Sun setting right in the center of the saddle between Elk Mountain on the left and the south end of the Tobacco Root Mountains on the right.

Not backcountry, but this was the sunset that just kept on giving tonight...

As we taxied in the evening light at LAX, there was an Airbus 380 that I oogled at A lot (former plane geeks may understand), but my phone was too slow to sneak a picture. However, the sunset was quite enjoyable all the way to Sacramento. Plane window and iPhone 4 quality aside, I thought at least you could all get a taste of something not done justice, and imagine the reality.
