I'm a morning person so I like to hike in the dark to a spot with an eastern exposure and enjoy the sunrise. I find it very energizing -- especially when you feel the warmth of the direct sunlight the moment the sun appears. The subsequent morning light is very cool but brief.

I went one evening to see the 17 year cicadas before they're gone for another 17 years. This was the sunset that evening.

This was the sunset a couple days later. The moon, Venus , and Jupiter are sharing the early evening sky along with the lights of west Lincoln.
