Today I hiked into Spectacle Lake, an often overlooked and seldom visited lake in the southern Adirondacks. At one time this was a snowmobile trail but is no longer maintained as such. One passes by Good Luck Lake on the way in and out as well as the hike/climb up to the Good Luck Cliffs.

6.4 miles r/t on a beautiful day!

Pretty day

Are the leaves changing already? It has been so hot in KY I think all the leaves are just going to fall off the trees

Where in KY? I grew up in Lexington and most of my family still calls it home. I was back there over Labor Day and yeah, it was as hot as I ever remember it being.

The trees near the water that are usually stressed have changed color already. There are hints of color on the hills and mountains up north right now.
