If you ever visit Mt. St. Helens, I highly recommend the lava tubes at Ape Caves.Big Island, HI has a lot of rock art as well.
I found quite a bit in some ancient lava tubes and caves and in close vicinity of these tubes. I can't wait to be back to explore more of it.
There are hundreds of lava tubes and caves crisscrossing Hawai'i Volcanoes NP.
on my bucket list for next year when it's the 40th anniversary of the eruption. If you ever visit Mt. St. Helens, I highly recommend the lava tubes at Ape Caves.
40 miles??? wow! And I thought the upper tube was long at 1.5 mileson my bucket list for next year when it's the 40th anniversary of the eruption.
I love crawling through lava tubes.
We have some on the Big Island that are 40 miles long.
And many have rock art panels in them
Some of those remind me of some really old ones I've seen on Stansbury Island. Very cool!Lower Paria River Canyon, AZ
