Album Rock Art and Ruins

Yes recognize it .... but been to si many have forgotten where, would have to look at pics to refresh my feeble mind

We have lots of ruins in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes NP
These are all remains of ancient fishing villages not covered by lava yet.
Itʻs fantastic finding these in the remote backcountry of the park.

Here are some of my most recent hikes along the Puna Coast Trail inside the park

Old Kōnane game on some lava rocks:
It is similar to Checkers and is still played in Hawaiʻi
You use white coral or shell pieces and black lava pieces to play it

Anybody hear of where this is?

It says near Castle Rock Pueblo, which is in the Sand Canyon area of the Canyons of the Ancients. That's about as specific as I can figure.
Thats all I could get out of it. Its a large canyon system and to far away from me. Looks like a neat site tho.

Found this one in the maze. Had never heard of one near here. Could still see some pottery shards and prints in the mud.

Great colors! Interesting that there are many in the same spot, including the tiny perfect one.
