Pre-trip Preparation

Man, you are going to need two packs to carry all of that stuff. :D
Maybe. . .

I have 90% of my stuff packed in the pack. The Ursack next to the pack holds all my food. It seems I might not have enough room!

I chose the Mystery Ranch Terraframe for this year's adventure for just this reason. A few buckle unsnaps and the framework falls forward. . .

Then place the Ursack over the framework. . .

Adjust a few more straps and then fold the pack back over the Ursack/harness.

It needs a few more adjustments here and there, but you get the idea.

As long as I don't try to squeeze thru a skinny hole sideways or lean too far backwards I think I'll be ok.

Wow ....... thats a good pack but weighs a ton....... My back hurts looking at that......
I may be embarrassed to show you my pack system.

Now you know why I've been hiking with a pack full of dumbbells and paver bricks. :)

It is heavy, but for me it's been comfortable when loaded. Dana Design always seemed to fit me the best back in the day. I was glad when Mystery Ranch picked up where they left off.

You know I'll be impressed with your pack system. Even though I tend to take the complicated route I admire and appreciate anyone that keeps it light and simple.

Down to one week, and I think I have my snacks/lunches in line.

I tend to snack throughout the day, so that kind of incorporates my lunch.

Two energy/fig bars a day

And my snacks. I'll put these into Ziploc bags this coming weekend.

So I've got the following:
- Plantain chips
- Dried okra
- Dark chocolate covered almonds
- Ginger
- Chile-n-Lime almonds - not taking the whole bag pictured
- Moon Cheese
- Parm Crisps
- Whisps
- Beef Jerkey
- Tex Mex Trail Mix
- M&M's
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Harvest Snaps

I'm not sure if I'll take the Caramel Cold Brew M&Ms or the Peanut M&Ms yet.

Oh, I forgot that I'm taking some of this too. :)

Am I missing anything?
