Guess the spot

Hints: we're looking north here. Valley is east. Lake is 8000-8500'. Largest waterfall in area drains lake.

Good question and I do not know. But based on the lack of human evidence, I would say not. I figured you (and a couple others) would know where it is, though.

I was kidding. That's Ortenburger Lake.

My profile pic is from the "pass" above the lake.

When you were there, what was your route to and from?

PS: I like the look from the other side of the lake better.

I really hope someone else can pick up where this is. ;)

I missed your sarcasm, sorry. I could not imagine that being a popular destination due to its remoteness and difficult access. I've been surprised before.

We were there last September. We came over the same pass as you, from Glade Creek TH-->Webb Canyon --> Moose Basin, etc. The smoke really started pouring in that evening; good photos of the Cleaver, Maidenform, Grand Teton, etc were reduced and disappeared over the next 14-16 hours until everything was hidden the next afternoon. Oh well,

Due to a friend having altitude issues, we left via Moran Creek to Jackson Lake, rather than continuing south as planned. He hitched a ride on a boat to the marina and then a ride to the truck. My other friend and I hiked out to Jenny Lake Lodge Road past Leigh Lake.
