Guess the spot

Well, I know the answers to most (or all!) of your clues, but I'd still have to hunt to put it all together, since I don't know that area.. I'm sure someone else can nail it with less research than it would take me (and I'm busy with work today), so I'll defer to others... at least for a day or two.

Mount Minsi, Pennsylvania.

Correct! That is Mount Minsi on the PA side of the Delaware River taken from Mount Tammany on the NJ side of the Delaware River. Also known as the Delaware Water Gap, it's an NRA. The Appalachian Trail goes over Mount Minsi, over the Delware River (via the I-80 bridge), and enters New Jersey here. You're up @Outdoor_Fool

are those the henry mtns or la sal mtns, my guess is from near dead horse/canyonlands?

sweet! hint: north of UtahP1000644.JPG

i guess another hint would be the lake is not in a national park, but the major mountains in the picture are in a national park. The tallest peak is one of six in said national park.

Close to Mount Merritt, you are on the right track one of the most isolated of the 6

Yikes. I'm not a Glacier expert. If any one else can swoop in here, do it.

the lake is not in Glacier National Park , but the mountain is, and it's a big mountain (1 of 6) You can name either the lake, mountain or general area. You guys are definitely on the right track though

Wow, I am puzzled. I can't think of any lake outside the park that allows a view that good of any of those 6. Lower Two Med and Lower St. Mary are the only ones I can think of close to but outside of the park...

hehe, I am pleased with this spot, here is the final hint, in the Great Bear Wilderness, only an hour or so to get there.
