Guess the spot

Wow, nice guess. It is in the Absarokas. The rest should be easy if you look at a couple of the fine details.
 
The green line in your photo didn't show up on my mobile version of Google Earth... I wasn't able to find it fast enough on my work break lol. At least I was half-right :)

Come on, there's dozens of places this could be, and it would be impossible to tell unless you've actually been in that exact spot... "A narrow canyon in Zion" seems close enough a guess to me, considering the narrow field of view in the photo... Just my 2 cents.
 
People who like ropes could have come through that slot and hikers can reach this exact picture without ropes. I consider it a very significant landmark as I've visited it both ways and think it's awesome. :giggle:

Ok, I'll admit that I'm not too familiar with Zion, and that I'm mad that Google Earth can't help me out with this one. :)
