Guess the spot: Utah Edition

Great clues y'all! I'm surprised this fell off the radar. Simply becasue I can't think of anything else...mouth of Spencer?

Winner!
Not the mouth of Spencer. :)
The picture shows the last part of the exit route of Spencer towards the Escalante River.
Huge Moki steps are on the right hand site, near a huge dryfall. A nice campsite and an unmarked spring is below.

You're up, John. :):thumbsup:

I knew I wasn't quite right but I didn't know there was anything in between! I'd like to use that exit someday to cross from S. Flts to BTB, so thansk for the beta! Had I said "exit" instead of "mouth" I'd have gotten away with it!!!

Middle Route Exit, Buckskin Gulch. :)

I will also put that area on my list for next year, in case we will get there anyway, we already had to skip autumn this year in view of the currently prohibitively expensive prices for hiring a car.
Approx 20y ago we got down with ropes into the narrows of the Spencer complex and another time hiked North and around on the Westside of those Spencer slots, probably up to the Escalante, and got in a very wild area with deep & steep canyons, with spectacular views.
No GPS at that time so not sure exactly where we were stopped, and no digital camera so all the pictures are hiding in boxes with hundreds of slides.
At that time it was possible to drive the Old Sheffield Road to the very end next to or may be even past the slots, i heard that it is now blocked off earlier on?
I haven't researched that last part where you went, is it possible to hike past the Spencer slots to the area with the ladders and down to the Escalante and along it, or even cross it when the water is low?

@John Morrow,
It would be very nice John, you post a new one. I don’t have access to my pictures at the moment. Thank you! :)

Yes this road is blocked off earlier.
You can hike to the ladders via Spencer/Escalante, or near 5742 (SE of the head of Spencer) via the ladders to the river. An other option is via climbers route to the river. River crossing isn't a problem when the water is low.

Oh yes their's very, very nice.
