this is a fun one! looks very basin-and-range, so most likely west of the Wasatch. but doesn't look as dry / uninhabited as many of the west desert valleys, and also the road + pond indicates some development. Is this taken from the Stansburys?

No, not the Stansburys. This was taken from Utah's high plateau country.
