It just might.....I think I might know the spot. I'll let someone else guess though. Does this canyon share a name with a couple nearby features?

One of the features I'm thinking of is a bench. It just might.....
I'm not going to help here but the only bench that I have a name for is Early Weed Bench, which I love to say just because it's the best-named bench in UtahOne of the features I'm thinking of is a bench.
I'm partial to Pollywog myselfI'm not going to help here but the only bench that I have a name for is Early Weed Bench, which I love to say just because it's the best-named bench in Utah
You are correct, one of the three is a bench, another is a canyon, the third....?One of the features I'm thinking of is a bench.
I agree, I snicker every time I hear it.I'm not going to help here but the only bench that I have a name for is Early Weed Bench, which I love to say just because it's the best-named bench in Utah

and a creek... and a pointA mountain?
And probably fifty other things.and a creek... and a point
There is Fiftymile Spring and Fiftymile Creek Inlet and Fiftymile Cliffs which are just the Straight Cliffs tho. Ok, I'll take it, It's Fiftymile Canyon. Did you use that E/E?And probably fifty other things.
I did not. It was on a possible Davis to File Mile planned entry, but with so little info out there that I could find, and after talking to a ranger about the lake levels, he told me that it was a steep entry. Being solo, I decided to change my plans and just come into fifty mile from the lake. I then abandon that plan as well after facing 30-50 mph winds going into Willow and a call to the ranger station that described their recent Willow to Fifty Mile loop as "brutal" with the river/lake braiding and needing to portage a lot through the mud and quicksand. As a consolation, I just did day hikes into Willow and Fifty Mile instead. There is Fiftymile Spring and Fiftymile Creek Inlet and Fiftymile Cliffs which are just the Straight Cliffs tho. Yes, take it Thanksis that the Left Hand Collet road?
Interesting, were you packrafting? Where did you enter from? I was looking at the images of Fiftymile and there is a sandbar blocking progress not far up from the mouth. I was wondering if that is the spot where Gregory Bridge is submerged? I'd like to hear more about your trip. I was thinking you might be able to link Fiftymile from Davis Gulch via that sandslide from the road. It would be a monster day as Davis Gulch is a nightmare below Bement Arch with all of the reeds. If you came out of Davis at the Arch it is probably won't be too bad.I did not. I'm going to try to put up a post in trip planning showing some pictures I took while ascending about half way up the slide to help others get a perspective of what they might face.
Did you think it was the Bobway or someplace else? Did you know there are two Bobways right near each other just as there are two Bobby's Holes near each other what's the deal?Hilarious, I was still wrong on the sandslide! And smug about it too!
