Guess the spot: Utah Edition

Bobway? Pic 1 didn't look right to me...I now know bobway is wrong based on the clues. The clues gave it away, but I'm not saying! Cause I would have got it wrong. The third is a benchmark

And probably fifty other things.
There is Fiftymile Spring and Fiftymile Creek Inlet and Fiftymile Cliffs which are just the Straight Cliffs tho. Ok, I'll take it, It's Fiftymile Canyon. Did you use that E/E?

I did not. It was on a possible Davis to File Mile planned entry, but with so little info out there that I could find, and after talking to a ranger about the lake levels, he told me that it was a steep entry. Being solo, I decided to change my plans and just come into fifty mile from the lake. I then abandon that plan as well after facing 30-50 mph winds going into Willow and a call to the ranger station that described their recent Willow to Fifty Mile loop as "brutal" with the river/lake braiding and needing to portage a lot through the mud and quicksand. As a consolation, I just did day hikes into Willow and Fifty Mile instead.
I'm going to try to put up a post in trip planning showing some pictures I took while ascending about half way up the slide to help others get a perspective of what they might face.

RE your new picture. I'll stay out of it since I just passed that spot on my recent trip. I love that route! It did feel much rougher this year. I suspect a good flood tore up that canyon recently.

Just about to the right of your trunk, I made this happy little guy.

9 months later when I returned, someone or something wiped the smile from this poor little guy's face. So sad...

Interesting, were you packrafting? Where did you enter from? I was looking at the images of Fiftymile and there is a sandbar blocking progress not far up from the mouth. I was wondering if that is the spot where Gregory Bridge is submerged? I'd like to hear more about your trip. I was thinking you might be able to link Fiftymile from Davis Gulch via that sandslide from the road. It would be a monster day as Davis Gulch is a nightmare below Bement Arch with all of the reeds. If you came out of Davis at the Arch it is probably won't be too bad.

Edit: The Moki exit is like 1.5 miles upcanyon from Bement Arch, I thought it was further down canyon (it's also pretty sketchy).

Hilarious, I was still wrong on the sandslide! And smug about it too!
Did you think it was the Bobway or someplace else? Did you know there are two Bobways right near each other just as there are two Bobby's Holes near each other what's the deal?

Edit: Check that the northern pass between Fold and Stevens canyon is called "Bobs Way" and the exit on the westside south of Fools is called the "Bobway". Sorry to clutter the Guess the Spot thread with this.
