Hmmmm.... that means it is NOT one of the Irish Canyons because those are after the junction.

By narrowing things down it's also between Hite (i.e. South of the Colorado) and the jct with Hwy 276

Okay, there's still a bit of a disconnect here. Anything between Hanksville and the junction of 95 and 276 is absolutely north of the Colorado. So, here's my guess (sorry, I had to cross briefly over to the dark side to get this list):
