Guess the spot: Maps Edition

Wow, nice one, that took some searching.

Garibaldi Lake, Garibaldi Provincial Park, BC
I'll post one tonight.

Well done! It's actually quite popular and not far from Washington State at all, so I'm surprised it went this long... I guess we don't have many people from the Pacific NW here. Garibaldi lake is a very spectacular destination!

Funny enough, I was just looking at Garibaldi Lake yesterday (for unrelated reasons) but just didn't recognize it in this thread.

I never really liked hiking as a kid/teenager, and that was the first hike I ever remember doing that blew me away. It was somewhat popular back then (mid-90s), so I can only imagine that it's quite crowded nowadays. But I need to get back there at some point!

well, i totally spaced that i needed to post some thing here. also, in full disclosure, i found the last spot from the peak elevation, but what can you do when you're that far East.

Thanks for the disclosure, I wondered how you had that so quickly. I missed that elevation completely.

a hint? this spot had a tourist attraction that was popular (?? not sure how much, before my time) in the 60s and 70s, but closed in the 80s, and now has returned to just being the middle of no where.

i cleaned the map up a decent bit, there are multiple named features in view.

Sounds like Crystal Ice Cave to me.

Wow. Talk about being asleep at the wheel. I looked at this area 6-7 times, even zooming in on Great Rift, and never recognized the map features.

Nice one @Ben .

As far as I'm concerned, anything given as a clue is fair game - parts of words, elevations, meters vs feet. 95% of the fun of this game is finding out about places you didn't know exist (and scouring the Madisons when @Jackson is posting :) ).

This one shouldn't be too hard. If you get it, just go ahead and post a new one, as I'll be away from connectivity for a while.

Grayson Highlands state park. I'll post one later today

Ignore the red arrows (I created the image a couple of years ago to inquire on a different forum if those two passes would go---unfortunately, the answer was "no", so my dreams of backpacking that route never materialized)

Over 13000m.... them be some mighty mountains indeed.
