Guess the spot: Maps Edition

The valley takes its name from the unusual way that the river punches across the canyon rather than flowing along it.

We need to figure this thing out. Ok, I'm seeing a dirt road leading to an overlook, a shadow-casting feature on the mesa top, 2 maybe 3 pillarlike features in the valley near the cliff wall, consistant water for the vegetation growth in the canyon. Any other clues?

Well, I thought I had it on the Virgin River, but I can't find that elevation anywhere in Utah.

That's a pretty good hint, actually. It's not in Utah. :D And with 3,000 feet of elevation difference between the river and the plateau, that must be one helluva canyon. One might even call it grand. ;)
