Guess the spot: Maps Edition

Beaverhead Mountains of the Bitterroot Range, according to the topos. That far south, I just refer to them as the Beaverhead Mountains.

I spent a weekend near there (Miner Creek, if I remember right) so long ago, it wasn't glaciated yet.

It is nice, and it used to be amazingly quiet as far as human use. I'm not basing that on my one trip there, I used to talk to outdoor types about going there and if I just said, "Beaverhead Mountains", the usual response was "Where's that?" After describing it's location, the response was something along the lines of "I've never even heard of that area."

I have no idea if that's changed, but I suspect it's still fairly quiet.

I figured a hint would be necessary. This canyon is next to a much larger canyon.

Alright I will try the @Rockskipper shotgun approach.... Maybe your yes, farther west replies will help us narrow it down to what state? :)

Three Forks Park, Wind Rivers.

Hell, I didn't know I'd left in any base line / meridian info. You pay too much attention. Let's see what you got.
