Album Campsites

Was up on an old logging road in B.C. where the moskies were real bad, slept in the back of my FJ, yet it was too warm to close the window - so I got out the moskie netting and jury-rigged this up. I kept hearing wolves nearby and was a little freaked, then got up the next morning and found a lake not too far away and learned that loons sound like wolves during the Hour of the Wolf if you have a good imagination. It was a memorable night.

Here's another - one of my favorite spots in the larches and fir near Kalispell at West Shore State Park. This is one of the few isolated spots in the park and has a dumpster nearby where the bears hang out - lots of clattering some nights as they try to break into it.

Digging the SS2!

It has been great until we had to pitch an already wet tent on wet grass and have it pour rain most of the night. Pretty soggy everywhere.
