I think eventually we'll just turn this "hardtack" into cookies...Still think circus peanut bits in it to enhance... Maybe some mms
It seems the Hardtack is receiving some mixed reviews.
I think you need to spice things up a bit if there is to be a @scatman and @Rockskipper culinary enterprise in the future.
Perhaps you can expand your offerings and prepare some sort of salted meat or pickling brine to compliment this weekend's lunch hike.
What is old is new again, right?
I can see the listing on REI now -- right next to the Mountain House and Peak Refuel will be SkipperScat's Olde World Expedition Provisions. All the tastes of yesteryear with none of the expiration dates of today.
Let the Five Star reviews begin!
MMs go good with anything. I'm not sure what circus peanuts would do when soaked.Still think circus peanut bits in it to enhance... Maybe some mms

But that's probably for the best.
Chocolate chips would definitely enhance the product … chocolate makes just about everything palatable.
do pemmican next, Scat!
They turn into elephants, of course. Just like those little dinosaur sponges, you can buy at the museum. You put water into it and it turns into a dinosaur. Presto easy.MMs go good with anything. I'm not sure what circus peanuts would do when soaked.
No Doubt! You could provide signature meals to our effort, like Chad Mendes for PEAK Refuel!
I always suspected this thank you for confirming. They turn into elephants, of course. Just like those little dinosaur sponges, you can buy at the museum. You put water into it and it turns into a dinosaur. Presto easy.
I like the idea of creating our own beverages too. Could we market a "Bison Brew" or maybe "Grizzlyade"?
I'm thinking "Yellowstone Thermal Water" might not have mass appeal.

Same scale as the peanut, so I think so, though I've never confirmed this by soaking one.Are these life size elephants?
No Doubt!
We can even use the same artwork -- just photoshop my head over Chad's.

I enjoyed your trip report by the way. I think I was too side-tracked by your buccellum biscuits to mention it earlier.
