Night 42 last night at Diamond Lake near Crater Lake National Park and night 43 right now in the boondocking lot at the Mills Casino in Coos Bay (nights 3 and 4 of this trip). Tonight will definitely be the worst campsite of the trip but choices were slim. No dispersed camping and all the campgrounds required us to stay all weekend. On to a better site at Cape Perpetua tomorrow.

Cape Perpetua has some very cool TIDAL POOLS, if you are interested, @Nick .
Go about 45 mins before low tide, which is 10:41 am on sept 2 and 11:44 am tomorrow monday.

If you are in Coos Bay now, then you are just north of Bandon- which has stunning rock formations on the beach, see below.
Also the beach at Face Rock, Bandon is a real awesome place for a long walk.
Hope it's not too foggy.

Alright, here goes. I think this one needs a disclaimer. While most of the excluded nights below were in fact spent in my sleeping bag, I dont count them if they were spent in a climate controlled building and/or one designed for human habitation. So nights spent in a hotel or church basement don't count, but those spent in a cinderblock laundromat or trailhead privy do count.

March 8-September 4 is 180 days. I spent all of those as bag nights except the following 28 nights:

Greyhound 22 hour nightmare (no sleeping): 1
Lordsburg NM: 1
Lordsburg NM (2nd time): 1
Silver City NM: 2
Pie Town NM: 1
Grants NM: 1
Chama NM: 2
Pagosa Springs CO: 3
Lake City CO: 3
Salida CO: 2
Silverthorne CO: 3
Grand Lake CO: 2
Rawlins WY: 1
Pinedale WY: 1
Dubois WY: 1
Lima MT: 1
Leadore MT: 1
Darby MT: 1

January 12-15 | Slickhorn Loop, Bears Ears National Monument | 3 Nights
January 15-16 | Random camping outside Mexican Hat | 1 Night
March 8-September 4 | Hayduke sections 10-14 and CDT | 152 nights

Total: 156 nights

I'm too dumb to figure out how to upload photos from my phone so I'll post a picture a bit later.

Nights in a privy should count double - or triple. :uhhuh:

But pretty epic bag night count. Been wondering where you've been.
