Just finished up a working trip that took me to trails near Cedar City, Red Canyon, Bryce Canyon, The Circle Cliffs and Capitol Reef. This was the sunset last night at our campsite on the Wolverine Loop.

Holy Crow, new member! You are in the running for one of the t-shirt prizes....

Wow!! Do you work as a river guide?? Or do you just love running those rivers?

I do work as a professional river guide in the Summer in Idaho. There would be no possible way to do that many trips on those rivers if you didn't work on them, the permits are too difficult to get. So perhaps that disqualifies me from the challenge as my employment earns me bad nights unlike that vast majority of weekend warriors that are on this site.

I don't know if a 'Dream Job' should be disqualified!!!

I wouldn't disqualify it! I just like to see where everyone has been, and I think it's awesome to see how much time people spend out in the outdoors, regardless of the nature of their bag nights.

So how come no prizes last year??????

So how come no prizes last year??????

Maybe you missed the fine print? Here it is, blown up: ;)

FINE PRINT: There is no prize other than the one you enjoy by spending many nights under the stars. But then again, maybe sometimes there could be if we have something laying around like a shirt or a beanie. It has happened once, maybe twice in the past. It may happen again, but who knows. All rules are subject to change at anytime and for any reason. May this 'challenge' inspire you to sleep outside more often. :)

Haha Nick ......................... :disagree:

Most likely my last backpacking trip of the year...

Rain and cloudy skies put a damper on work trails this weekend, but on the bright side, I finally took the time to check out the John Wesley Powell Museum in Green River. I also finally tried out the way over-hyped burgers and service at Ray's Tavern. Still a nice weekend out in the desert. Lots of nice yellow cottonwoods still.

JWP says hello.

I. Don't. Like. Camping. Near. Moab...

But it was a "business" trip, so I sucked it up. At least it's slightly less busy down there...
