Struggling to find time away from the city. Given a good tip on camping are near Grand Targee so I could avoid the music festival campers. That was a zoo! Should have taken a picture of the myriad of campers up there. Honestly didn't know you could fit that many up there. Targhee National Forest 2 nights

Does this mean you went up to Sourdough Glacier? That one is on my list.

Total Nights: 8

Mammoth Yellowstone 1 night
Mt. Baird 1 night
Grand Canyon 1 night
Red Rock Pass Road, MT 1 night
Heber City in an RV park. 1 night
Grand Targhee 2 nights

Jug Mountain Ranch 1 night Aug 26-27 for the first high school mountain bike race of the season with the Idaho League. After staying under the stars Friday night we booked a very rustic cabin at Burgdorf Hot Springs. So I guess I can't count that night. Fun to revisit a place I went as a child. I am certain nothing has changed.

Someday when I have more time and less coaching duties. I am going to bikepack Idaho Hot Springs.

No, we went by the lake at the foot of the glacier. The rock pile in the picture's foreground is the terminal moraine. We only actually stood on Grasshopper, Dinwoody and maybe Gannett. They are all such small, pale versions of their former selves it's hard to find the remnants.

I need to expedite that one then, it seems. That's very sad. Looking forward to hearing more about that trip though!
