A very WET week. Was glad to get out earlier than planned, now itching to go back already. So much rain... Henry's Fork was amazing. Very scenic. Found a great campsite and chilled for 3 days, wandering around as long as it would stay dry. Which was usually 3-5 hours. Dad...

Frogs, moose, deer, bird. Mosquito, mosquito, mosquito ! All the meadows marshes. Ice cracking and rock falling in the late afternoon. Water flowing everywhere. Shifting clouds, little rain.

Thanks all! I was in naturalist basin years ago and was underwhelmed by the experience in proportion to all the hype I had always heard. It was not an early season trip though. But still very scenic.

Does anybody have any suggestions on good trips for numerous/scenic waterfalls or waterways in the Uintas ? I love the rushing, roaring water of early season trips. But not too early. Once snow is mostly gone and ground is not a constant bog. Thanks for any advice !

Muddy Mountains over Bitter Spring Valley. Color and B&W, each has its charm.

Muley has a fantastic view for sure. I did not explore around the rim of Point Lookout much. Just the very top, not any bench below. And overland just where I walked to n from the canyon system west.

Spent a few days recently on Cedar Mesa, revisiting old friends and making some new ones. Southern Utah never disappoints... Days were warm, nights cool, & wind was blowing hard at times, especially on higher ground. Pretty pleasant in canyons though. Canyon system near Point Lookout...

Forbidding Canyon/Aztec creek is an amazing place. Spent a week there years back doing a top down loop, and could easily have spent more. Looks like you had a fun trip.

Thank you all for the kind comments, glad you enjoyed the photos. Its a whole different world up there this late in season, part of the reason I went. Want to go back early season next year to see it thundering with water in all those dried up tarns and streams.
