Great Gray Owl

I was super excited to find a Great Gray Owl in Yellowstone.
I guess it's the mainland version of our Hawaiian Pueo

This guy was making a beeline somewhere. I think I followed him for over a 1/4 mile trying to get a shot....

Last week Rick got a warning from a Rattlesnake on a very warm sunny day. First time I have seen one, it was partly under a rock just next to the path we were on. Temperatures have since dropped substantially, so hopefully we wont encounter another one!

My most amazing encounter so far was a wolf sighting. After years of exploration in Yellowstone, I finally saw a wolf. This lone wolf was walking close to the road near Hayden Valley. It totally made my day!!
I guess when he saw me he decided to run like crazy, lol

I was only able to get like 3-4 shots from the snow coach, but these two turned out to new okay.
