Who uses paper maps?

Most people are backpacking in 3-5 day trips, so an extra charge or two at most is all they'll need. And I'm not advocating for not carrying paper maps, I'm just calling you out for saying that they are "far superior" just because it takes a little care to keep your device powered. But yes, it is a matter of preference, and I don't fault anyone for preferring paper maps. There are pros and cons to each and I don't think anyone can fairly say that one or the other is far superior when comparing them.
 
Always have a paper map, I use it ....... GPS just records my track. Besides you smack your phone or GPS and kill it whats your secondary? Especially if in unfamilar country.... guess call me old school...
