Uinta Highline Trail - East to West

I enjoyed your report. I was on the Highline trail at the same time you were but started at Hacking Lake. My son, my self and a friend started on 8/26/2016 and finished at the trailhead on the Mirror Lake highway on 9/3. This was my forth time completing the Highline trail and plan on doing it again this year. Now that you know what not to do, try it again. You won't be sorry.

We actually have plans laid to do it end of July/ first part of August. Not the best time considering the amount of snow up there this year but its the only window in which we can do vacation days at the same time. Also due to limited days we're going to do another section and not try to do the whole thing.

Hopefully you can get a report after your hike and before I go out again this year. I am somewhat concerned about the amount of snowfall this past winter. I plan on going the end of August again but may have to move it up a week depending on my son's leave schedule.
