Monday’s trail photos from The Needles, the loop included a tight squeeze through a crack, 2 ladders, moki steps. It was a spectacular day:

Our favorite Sedona trail, fabulous views! We even met two guys about to bike down the most challenging part of the one-way MTB double black diamond trail. One of them said: “I don’t think many people bike this”. No kidding!!!
I had a flashback of the guy we saw with a dislocated shoulder some years ago, but I figured it would be a real bad timing to mention that right before they plummeted off that edge. No worries, it was a piece of cake for those two, they made it look very easy. We also made it down, it seemed easier this year than previously. It’s a lot steeper than it looks.

It was great! It was at the North Fork Park ski area where I took a group lesson to learn just enough to get in trouble on my free time. Going back next weekend for another lesson. Hoping to get enough experience to do an overnighter to one of the yurts at the Lily Lake Ski area in the Uintas.

Cross-country Skiing is pretty easy and you can learn it fast. If you go way into the backcountry then you definitely need more skills.
I started with regular x-country ski, but now I have race ski, classic and backcountry ski. I just need to buy the climbing skins for my backcountry ski. Love all my outings and hope to add a few more trips in the future. Hopefully some ski winter camping as well
 
Yes, the Collins Gulf Trail. The bridge is right by the Sawmill campground.

backpacked that one last year. I love that area. Keep em coming!
