The Devil and a Flash Flood

Anyone been down this road to Black Jump and down that to one possible trailhead for Happy Canyon recently? I've tried this road before a couple years back and it was trashed, so I bailed. I'd like to try it again in early September (if monsoons cooperate) so any beta would be appreciated.
