Album The Blue Hour

Sandhill cranes are pretty cool. They sound positively prehistoric. Gotta be careful with Nebraska though, there's some sketchy characters that live there!
 
The sandhill cranes were off my radar until two encounters last year, when I learned from a birding friend that there are some that summer in southern Alberta, and others that are migrating through on their way north.
Might as well throw in a blue hour photo, this one from camp near Escalante:
