A snowy cold day not much to do........

I left my campsite and hiked south for 3 miles. Then turned east and hiked for 3 miles. Then turned north and hiked for 3 miles, at which time i came upon a bear inside your tent eating food! What color was the bear? Why?

I think you're supposed to say it was in your own tent, which would make it white because the only place you can hike 3 miles south, then east for 3 miles, then north for 3 miles and end up back at your starting point is the North Pole. But it was probably in @scatman's tent because he always cooks good stuff, assuming the Scatster was in your camp.

Okay, since we’re doing riddles, I’ll add one, though it’s not particularly outdoors or hiking or anything.

Which word in the dictionary is always spelled incorrectly?

A thing that it hard to see
Way out in the back country.
Though everywhere, invisible,
Unless you have a special tool.
Though you can't hitch your horse to it,
It is revealed, bit by bit.

All I can think of are spider webs. :)

Focus on the keywords in the riddle. Though I like your answer, too.

back country
invisible
tool
hitch horse
bit by bit

Good guess, but nopester.

OK, here's a BIG hint:

Mud bogs, maps, and photos,
And the game Name the Spot,
Circus peanuts and riddles,
And a crazy kilted Scot.
