@fossana just want to say thank you for the great write up and trail beta. I just did this yesterday and it was a good time! I also found the same track on hiking project under the name "Capitol Reef Extravaganza" and their recommended route has you starting at the grand wash trailhead and going counter clockwise. But fwiw, I like your direction better. It felt good to be walking in the water in sulpher creek at the end of the day when I was hot and tired and it puts the visitor center/CG 2/3rds of the way through, which makes for an ideal spot to reload on water without having to filter.
That seems super useful! Of course, I don't really know how to interpret it (in terms of how much recent precipitation is needed for potholes and springs to have water), but it's still very useful to know about.
