I went back to Cedar Breaks and hiked in the snow

Had the great pleasure of breaking out the snowshoes for the first time this season and hitting unnamed peak 11033 in October.

Overlooking Cutthroat Lake last Saturday. Beautiful weather and beautiful snow but drifts turned me back at this point.

Couldn't ride my bike in the fresh snow. The fatty is at the mechanics so I hiked instead. Should have pulled out the snowshoes. Did a little happy dance.

I was also in the wasatch - front country. Found this just like @Yvonne 's sand version.

I couldn't resist and headed up Kolob Terrace after work. A lot of snow up there. I broke trail with my snowshoes in several spots and went to Northgate Peaks where I stayed for sunset.
Snowshoeing back in the dark was fun, but I'm used to hikes and activities in the dark so I didn't mind.

Awesome! Did you break trail for us @Yvonne ? We are going this weekend, I can't wait. We broke trail yesterday In Arches, that's a lot of hard work!

Not sure where to post this winter sun halo, but we saw a lot of snow everywhere.
Today about where I-70 intersects with rt89 (Utah), well north of Bryce Canyon: (had to reduce file size)

Wow. Got me dying to go back there. Went in early January this year and there was no snow anywhere.
