I'm heading up to the Teton Wilderness this Saturday. @Bob and I are going to do a loop out of Brooks Lake. If you happen to be in our vicinity, stop by and say "Hello."

That's almost the exact loop that I have have drawn up in Caltopo for a future trip (next year I hope). I can't wait to see that trip report.

sad for the family that they never found a body. I think I remember reading they found the other guy the next day or something.

Yes, it is sad. They found the second guy along the east shore of the lake, along with the canoe. The Park warns paddlers to never paddle the east shore of the lake. When the southwest winds whip up, it is a really bad place to get caught, with a long stretch of no place to land your canoe, plus the waves are driving you into the cliffs/rocks.
