Possible Escalante, Utah Fracking

If you're approach to the people who own the land is that you are "enlightened" and "more intelligent" and that they are just stupid fawking hicks that don't know enough to come in out of the cold, don't expect to get anything except hard feelings out of them.

- DAA

That was exactly my point. If you want to persuade someone to see your side, you need to listen to theirs, respectfully. Too often people get confrontational, trying to win, but that only polarizes people and then you're stuck hoping you have more on your side than the other. If you don't, you lose.

The word "outsiders" is curious, if that is the word locals use.

Especially since "outsiders" are the ones who are proposing to come in and use the land for their own needs with no regard for screwing it up, leaving the local folks to deal with the outcome.

Doubt much has happened over the holidays, but thought I'd check to see if there was any new information on this issue? Also, is anyone aware of any responsible conservation groups that have taken an interest in the issue?
