You squealed too fast! :)

I was still impressed that those camera phones were able to do that good of a job through the telescope.

The Titan and Echo tower my friends climbing the second pitch of phantom sprint into the night (head lamps blurred and blown out).

30 minute exposure, the moon was over half full and i had the iso a bit high. I thought the shot was a loss but came back and processed it by burning the sky down a bit and I kinda like the result

Very cool!!! Some awesome shots to be had with friends who climb at night. Welcome to backcountrypost! :)

Finishing off the pitch and starting the rap to the ground. The fun of aid climbing in the fisher towers with a 3 man team, I just hung out on the ground from sun up till they got down. Gave a good opportunity to get some cool shots.
45 minute exposure, 120 iso instead of 400 f 5.6 probably kinda like russian roulette with the moon tracking into the shot.

Redstone colorado, landshark boulder. 3 hour exposure, flash popped 3 times in attempt to illuminate the climber on the boulder, he just ended up really ghosted. one day I'm gonna figure it out.

second attempt at stacking, self portrait on a slack line. I prefer longer exposures but stacking is the answer for getting rid of the ghosting, perhaps I will just stack a couple to get the people in the shot and combine more like 30 min or hour long exposures (this was 5 hours and 14 minutes worth or 2 minute exposures). I hate the gaps, but like less noise from hot pixels. I really want to make startrails one of my niches into the professional photo world. I really like some of the stuff in this post. very inspirational.

another attempt at climbing and star trails, I was hoping to freeze the climber in a couple of places as he swung out from the lip of the boulder, I popped a bunch of flashes through the swing but it barely did anything. I thing the answer is to shoot that part with a shorter exposure at a higher iso and more open lens, then quickly change settings and re program the remote for a couple long exposures to stack together. this shot was with a 7mm starting at f8 and going down to f3.5 through out a 3 hour exposure (that's what created the bright end to the trail). wish my lenses could change aperture during the shot like this one that I borrowed to create this. Just incase it you can't tell the editing is a on the heavy side as far as upping vibrance, saturation, clarity, contrast, blacks, and fill light.

Well that somehow make me sober enough to use it too? Hahaha!
Cool find, but nah, I don't think it'll come up often enough to be worth it. Besides, the way we did it worked well enough.

a quick night shot session from tonight at Gunlock Reservoir west of St. George.
Most of the stars were washed out by the almost full moon but the clouds moving in were a nice addition
Awesome Yvonne! Was this with your 11-16mm?
