In January we had a lunar eclipse. But being in Hawai'i it happened in the middle of the night with the moon overhead. Bad time to take pictures of the moon if you didn't want to end up with just a moon and a black sky. I took one shot at the beginning, laying on the ground, shooting directly above me. Couldn't even use a tripod.
The end of the lunar eclipse was way more interesting with a moon low enough in the sky to include the summit eruption in the distance plus the valley fog.
