Guess the spot

North of there.
This is a very tiny lake, much smaller than Snowking.
Did someone guess Hidden Lake/Peak? Hmm.... that doesn't seem right though.
Bear Lake/Mtn?
I dunno I am shooting the dark now.
Copper Lake/Mtn?

Were I in charge of naming it, I would have called it a pond instead of a lake. You're still dramatically overestimating the size.
It is on NPS land though. There is a nice trail to get here.

I won't be able to find it then because I only have google maps to help me.

I found it on Google maps. :)
I can imagine it would be a pain though.
Another hint is that the peak in the picture looks impressive but barely has 200 feet of prominence.

So then it isn't Blum Lake as Mt. Blum is fairly prominent. Or Luna Lake/Luna Peak.... they all seem too big of a lake and/or peak.
Well if nothing else, it has convinced me I need to head over there to have a look!

More hints:
There is a creek in the area that also shares the name.
The trail and trailhead also are named for the lake.
It's only about 2 trail miles from a major highway.

Obsidian Creek?

I honestly have no idea but I'm guessing the darker color of the rocks is significant. Probably not dark enough or fragmented right to be obsidian. Haha.

How about Lava Creek? The Yellowstone one, not the southern Absarokas one.
