Guess the spot

Now It seems you have already given some clues and from them am going to guess ...

... Could this be in the Boone Creek Drainage Area which is near the Ashton-Flagg Ranch Road and in or near the Winegar Hole Wilderness right there SW of Yellowstone? Maybe the North Fork of Boone Creek but also the Middle Fork?

From your clues ... Flows to the Pacific, No Siree (Not in Yellowstone), and a creek not a river.

The scenery looks kinda flat but wooded and what it would be here in the Winegar Hole Wilderness, and fall colors so taken in the fall of the year so suppose.

I have to admit, I thought this area would be recognized fairly quickly but I see how it could be mistaken for a lot of other spots. So yes, to repeat @Kmatjhwy 's clues, it's not in Jellystone, or Yellowstone, for that matter.

I need to make a correction, looking at a topo map, it is labelled as a lake, although as you can see in the left of the photo, it actually flows a bit.

@Kmatjhwy you're sort of headed in the right direction.

That was a bit of a shot in the dark... it was the only flowy lake between two better known lakes in the greater Yellowstone area I could think of off the top of my head.

OK, name the lake in this pic.

Unfortunately no, but that would be an appropriate name given this image. For a hint... um... west of Nebraska... also North of Nebraska... not sure if that's all that helpful....

This actually reminds me of a lake I camped at years ago in the Beartooths. Have to look in my old journal for the name. Somehow this photo seems fitting for the Beartooths in just my opinion. But tons of lakes in the Beartooths.

Beartooths confirmed. I don't recall there being much for campsites there.... although I supposed you might be able to make a spot if you really wanted to.

Rockskipper, this is the geyser that is located in Soda Springs, Idaho. I saw this many years ago one spring when trapped in Soda Springs during some spring storm.
