Guess the spot

off rte. 66?
I had to research that since Route 66 was "undesignated" as a US highway in 1985, but no, I don't think this particular highway was part of Route 66. If you ever want to buy some crystals, just head south on this road.

So, I was mistaken--this is along a state highway, not a U.S. highway. The photo was taken at a picnic area near a state park.

Homolovi State Park?
I think this one's too obscure/difficult (I wanted a non-Utah photo but don't have many of them), so you can take it away. :) It's actually along Oak Creek just north of Sedona, near Slide Rock State Park.

Okay, I guess this isn't as easy as I thought.

Hint: Several BCP members have been within a few hundred feet of this spot, and/or written trip reports about it within the past six months.

Hope I am not one of the ones who's walked right past this! Interesting. Looks like Aztec (Navajo) around the tank and other types of rock on the peaks. Places like Red Rocks or Valley of Fire or northshore of Lake Mead come to mind but I know I am wrong....

Looks like the place I want to visit off House Rock Valley Rd south of the wirepass TH
