I'll just throw out Hwy 6 between Helper and Soldier Summit but that's basically a vague guess with any memory forged at 60+ MPH

You're in the right area. Go back towards Price and add some to that. Not a bad guess, but this is a canyon where people go to look for bighorn specifically.
