Ha! The funny thing is that I never even saw the crossing like that. I barely even caught a glimpse of it. But those hills are seared into my memory.

Actually, you're spot on. That mesa in the distant IS Hurricane Mesa. This was taken on the Jem Trail in the Hurricane Cliffs Trail System. You're up @regehr!

Pic was taken looking southish from the slopes of Lamus Peak. Since (I think!) Leppy Peak is in Nevada and this the Utah edition I say Cuberant gets this one.
