Guess the spot: Utah Edition

It's the Bonneville Shoreline Preserve. Since you got the right words, you're up @Artemus.
Hardly seems fair, but I will take it :)

I have to go walk there, it is beautiful! But not until it cools off...

One of our successful stream crossings where we didn't total the truck.

This place is famous. Or at least famous to the likes of you folks. Or famous to some of you. Extra credit if you can tell a story about this place.

That's right. You want to tell a story about the area? You are up!

Ha! The funny thing is that I never even saw the crossing like that. I barely even caught a glimpse of it. But those hills are seared into my memory.

Here's my 'crossing': https://backcountrypost.com/threads/hell-in-the-swell.155/

I have nothing but that particular pattern of sandstone reminds me of the area around Hurricane Mesa.

North of there. Interstate 80 should be in the picture somewhere.

Island Mountains near Wendover?

Pic was taken looking southish from the slopes of Lamus Peak. Since (I think!) Leppy Peak is in Nevada and this the Utah edition I say Cuberant gets this one.

Oh no I'm out on the trail so this one will have to do...
