Guess the spot: Utah Edition

I was going to take a swing at it with: Lower Fish Creek off Comb Wash?
But then there is Titan's thumbs up to regehr's Needles vibe comment.
I'm confused (as usual!)
Lost Canyon?

@regehr - good vibes :)

@SteveR - not Lost Canyon (and not Lower Fish Creek)

@Janice - without knowing it, you were actually giving off a hint! It really felt like we were being watched all day long, but not by the rocks.

@regehr is correct with The Needles vibe....

@Kerrie at Thru We Go - not Horseshoe
@gnwatts - not Steer Gulch

Plenty of feline tracks in the area, small and big... Cropped out a major give away feature in this photo (right side).

Ah, so that's what might have been watching you! I had been wondering if planes were overhead, like in Vermillion Cliffs where we definitely were on a flight path. I don't know the Needles (YET) so have no guesses, though.

Looks like you are hiking the road to Peekaboo

Warm, but the photos are not from Salt Creek. What else is a sandy slog out there?
If you think the canyon was already named and I said no, then look carefully at the previously suggested name, can't say much more without giving it away.

I shouldn't be Horse-ing around by guessing since I don't have an image to post if I am right.

Horse Canyon, you’re up @Michael

Not that far upstream. Both photos were taken walking back out of Horse Canyon. First photo is the final bend before the confluence with Salt Creek and the second photo is of the “Natural Bridge” nicknamed Skull Arch (just downstream of Paul Bunyans Potty).

Hi boaters, your boat is sunken. (Just kidding.) :)
Please swim in direction NE.
