It does sort of have that appearance, but this is a ways from the actual Book Cliffs escarpment. It is, however, related in a way--it's near the northern edge of a plateau whose southern edge is defined by the Book Cliffs.

Fine, I'll hit that softball--it's the coke ovens near East Carbon/Sunnyside. But I feel like I only have obscure photos to post, so here's probably a more difficult one. I'll keep it going with hints if needed.

it's a lake in the Uintas. there are only a couple of them up there so I'm confident this is specific enough!!
