Can you hint whether there is a feature or something special in or up these canyon walls that would help us to THINK in the right direction?

I am sorry guys, this is a first, I screwed up. It's been a hard day.
It is east of Grand Gulch, west of Slickhorn, North of the San Juan, and south of where Grand Gulch turns east.
This should give it away.
Again my apologies.

Next up... where is the duck shaped rock that is in a canyon named for another creature? So I am looking for the canyon where this is located (see hint in previous sentence). Maybe the rock looks like a lizard to you, I dunno. It's an iPhone photo zoomed in late in the day so the resolution is a little sketchy.
