I am positive I have walked by this thing but the memory of where I was at the time is gone. :facepalm:

I was pretty sure some others here must have walked past it. I'll post an uncropped picture tomorrow or the next day.
 
I was just thinking of tagging you @River . I trust you to have been every where I've been, or have thought of going. But this picture is not from Capitol Reef.
 
It does look familiar, but not really remembering where. I usually avoid trails.

Close enough. That's Lava Point in the background on the Wildcat Connector trail, shortly before it meets the West Rim trail.
